Getting Your Influenza Vaccine

Thank you to all the students and staff that made this year's flu clinics so successful. On main campus, 3816 people were immunized in total. If you were unable to receive and immunization, we encourage you to do so.

Where else can I receive my immunization?

You can still receive an immunization by dropping in at the University Health Centre (2-200 SUB) between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, or by visiting the University Health Centre Pharmacy (main floor SUB, back of Bookstore). Family members of U of A students over the age of nine may also receive their immunization at the UHC. However, the preferred influenza vaccine for children ages 2-17 is FluMist (the nasal spray) as this mode of immunization offers better efficacy for children. The UHC will not be offering FluMist and strongly encourages children to be vaccinated at an Alberta Health Services clinic.

Community flu clinics operated by AHS can be located here.
